Materials Discovery and Growth

We discover new materials and crystalize them in the form of bulk single crystals and thin films. Our capabilities cover a wide range of growth techniques including flux, Bridgman, floating-zone, molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), UHV sputtering and chemical vapor deposition techniques. Beyond these techniques which are widely used in modern industries, we continuously develop novel methods in order to adapt for the growth of new materials. We extensively characterise the structural, optical and magnetic properties of the grown materials using in-house and national facilities.
